This article also discusses when wikis are useful for organization. It also states the reason why people are attracted to wikis for learning. It also says how wikis are helping for developing community. General tips for success of wikis are also given which will help the organization and its users. The founder of wiki, Ward Cunningham, described his creation as " the simplest online database that could possibly work." Wiki is a software that handles complex problems with simple solution. Cunningham and Leaf designed the first wiki (wikiwikiweb) in 1995, collaborative website where anyone can contribute.

Wikipedia is most well known website used by many users to collect,gain and learn new information and knowledge relating any content area. It also facilitates ease of easily accessible and provides quick solution regarding any subject or query. Its main feature is that it can be used by novice. To add more it is very much helpful to an organizations for considering FAQ,Technical,HR relating questionnaire and feedback. Considering the greatest benefit is that it can be private or public with no or low cost software Setup and maintainence.
